Koinly: a B2B line from $0 to $300K ARR
The situation
Koinly sells crypto tax software. Its B2B line started at $0 in revenue, and our founder joined as the first B2B hire worldwide.
The buyers were accounting and audit networks and fintech partners. These firms buy for many clients at once, so a tax tool needs a case that holds up with partners, compliance and procurement before a contract moves. We had to win each firm on its own terms.
What we did
- Buyers ready now
- We started with firms that had a public reason to act now, and contacted them before the rest of the list.
- The institutional case
- We wrote the case each firm needed internally: what the product does for its clients and what a rollout takes.
- Meetings
- We booked demos with the people who decide, and ran each demo against that firm's own case.
- Close with a next step
- Every demo ended with a dated next step on both sides.
The result
- $0 to $300K ARR, measured from the first B2B hireCompany-reported, as of October 2026
- 48% demo-to-closeCompany-reported, as of October 2026
- Closed Deloitte, BDO, Mazars, RSM, UHY, EisnerAmper, Wealthsimple, Findex, CroweCompany-reported, as of October 2026

What it means for you
If your buyers are accounting firms, banks or fintech partners, Outbound runs this method for you. We build verified Director-plus lists at your exact ICP, write sequences in your voice, triage the replies and book the meetings. Outbound is $5K/mo plus $750 to $1,000 per qualified meeting. A qualified meeting is your ICP, a Director-plus attendee and 15 minutes attended. You get sends, replies and meetings in a report every week. Month one builds and warms the infrastructure, and meetings start in month two.
